Work from Home Opportunity: Mia Bella Candles
Not all direct sales opportunities are particularly flexible.
Most of them rely on parties or a painstaking lead generation process that
only rarely leads to any sort of wealth or success. Few of them have any
products worth talking about. Some of them do have great products, but
those products are bought only once. Once you've found that one prospect
there's little chance of building them into a long term customers. Mia
Bella, with it's valuable yet consumable product, means that you can build your
business and earn lifelong customers.

Mia Bella actually provides methods of money-making that suit multiple
personalities. First, if you like direct sales the party method works just
fine. You can mark up your candles retail and sell them. You do need
to buy the stock yourself first, and your minimum to participate is joining the
"candle of the month" program for roughly $40. You'll receive a lot of
great merchandise doing it that you'll be tempted to use yourself (and little
harm if you do, but you certainly do need something to sell). Another great
business model is the fundraiser model. In this model, you partner with
local schools, sports teams, and charitable organizations. They sell the
candles. You receive a portion of the profits.
This can be a
great high volume method--you contact one person, the fundraising director--and
receive sales back many times over as a result. If you keep all these
fundraising directors together on a mailing list and make it an annual event you
can be certain of a sustainable income many times over. Or, you can choose to
buy a large stock and go tackle the craft show circuit. Mia Bella is one
of the few direct sales organizations that encourages this. You'll need
enough stock to turn a profit at that craft show or flea market, but it has the
great advantage of you not having to prospect anybody.
Do be aware
of your mark up and your costs and how much you need to charge, + taxes, to
actually make a profit (this is true for the direct sales model as well).
You can also combine this with other business models. You can also work by
recruiting other distributors. This is the method most of your team
leaders are going to advocate--they make the most money on your commissions and
this is the guaranteed method. If you feel most confident with that method
go for it, but note that this is a profit model built on perpetuating a model--a
recruitment model--and not on providing value unless you are a skilled team
leader and motivator. If you're this kind of coach then you can provide
quite a bit of value indeed--but be aware this is a standard MLM model at that
point and isn't much different than any of the other MLM models out there.
Not that MLM is an instant indicator of a bad business--it's just
that we all know the pitfalls. You can of course, choose to do all of them. The
company does provide you with a website, but beware of duplicate content!
You're not going to build any traffic just letting it sit there.
Crafting unique articles to drive traffic and building a mailing list,
however, might well get you a good follower of repeat buyers. The soy
candles and soaps smell beautiful and work every bit as well as the company
promises, and are both consumable and addictive.
