external opinion: Expression Web – Website Building That Helps You Find A Relationship You Want
by Sasha
Mitrofanov
As you know, in a modern world,
it’s not enough just to have a great product, you have to let other people know
about it, in other words market your product effectively. I would like to
share with you today how you can promote your products using Microsoft
Expression Web, so that you can attract more customers, generate more business
and maybe even find the love of your life!
In my business I help men to
improve their relationships with women, so that they can meet, attract and date
exactly the kind of women they want. And building your relationships with
your customers is not very different. You have to find them, or rather say –
they find you and your website through a search engine. But what happens after
that? Will they register on your website? Will they buy your product? Or will
they just click away after a couple of seconds? You cannot choose for them, but
you can help them choose in your favour!
As the favourite mantra of my
internet marketing guru, Rob Goyette, goes, “effective internet marketing is
about putting the right offer in front of the right people at the right time”
And having an effective website
that allows you to convert your visitors into leads and then paying customers is
therefore crucial for your home business success. I built my website in
Microsoft Expression Web and today I’m going to give you a review of my
experiences with it.
Now, I’m not a professional
website designer, so when choosing a website building software, I was looking
for a fair balance between software flexibility/functionality and ease of use.
Granted, choosing one of the default Website Builders that most of the
self-respecting hosting providers offer nowadays would be the simplest
option.
I’ve tried a couple of those in
my early days, and then left thoroughly frustrated at how desperately limited in
features and inflexible those simple website builders were. Here is a list
of downsides of the standard website builders, as compared to Expression
Web:
|
Standard Website
Builder |
Microsoft Expression
Web |
|
Limited number of
templates |
Can build your own
template easily |
|
Limited to ineffective
“multi-tabbed” website format |
Can build a landing
or squeeze page easily |
|
Unpredictable /Inflexible
text formatting |
Easy formatting like in
Microsoft Word |
|
Largely incompatible with
HTML tags |
Can easily edit the HTML
code to insert conversion tracking, autoresponder forms and fine tune
formatting |
To sum up, I cannot see any
disadvantages of using Expression Web compared to default website builders
offered by hosting providers, and can wholeheartedly recommend it (And I promise
Microsoft doesn’t pay me a penny for recommending it!)
Now, this article would not be
complete if I did not compare Expression Web with more professional products,
such as Dreamweaver. However, being a practical home business user, rather than
a website building junkie, the simplicity of using Expression Web outweighs the
flexibility offered by Dreamweaver (and I’ve built a couple of *basic* websites
with Dreamweaver myself too, in case you wondered!).
Granted, you can do much more in
Dreamweaver than in Expression Web, but do you have an extra couple of weeks on
your hands to study this specialised piece of software in depth so that you can
use its extra functionality? I did not!
I just wanted to have my website
online, in front of my customers, with the right offer on it. Expression Web was
very easy to master – especially if you are to using Microsoft Word, and allowed
me enough functionality to come up with an attractive looking website that did
exactly what I wanted it to do. Now I can go about doing my primary business of
helping men to build their relationships.
